DETROIT – Police arrested two people early Tuesday, Aug. 6, following a deadly shooting and barricaded situation on Detroit’s east side.
According to authorities, three people were shot on Hazelridge Street, near Gratiot Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5. One man died and two other people were injured.

Police said the investigation of the scene turned into a barricaded situation that lasted several hours. Eventually, two suspects surrendered and were taken into custody.
Police are still working to find out what led to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
