Dearborn police seek help identifying masked men who robbed jewelry store at gunpoint

No customers or employees were injured in the incident

DEARBORN, Mich. – The Dearborn Police Department seeks help identifying two masked men involved in an armed robbery.

The robbery occurred Wednesday (Aug. 7) on the city’s east side at 5:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Schaefer Road.

Officials say their investigation revealed that two men in masks had entered the store with a rifle and demanded that employees and customers get on the ground.

Police said one of the men held everyone at gunpoint; the other ransacked the business, loading several items into a bag.

Officials said the men left the store after an employee fired several rounds towards them, fleeing the scene in a black sedan, possibly a 2011-2013 model year Mazda 3 with paint peeling on the hood and trunk of the vehicle.

Police say no customers or employees were injured in the incident, and it is unknown if the men were wounded.
