At least 1 critically hurt when car hits semi truck in Dearborn

DEARBORN, Mich. – At least one person was critically injured when a car crashed into the back of a semi truck in Dearborn, officials said.

The crash happened around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, on Ford Road at Auto Club Drive, which is near Evergreen Road.

Officials said a car crashed into the back of a semi truck in a Ford Road turnaround.

Aerial footage showed a black car with severe front-end damage. It was partially underneath the back driver’s side of the semi truck, behind the back tires.

At least one person was critically injured in the crash, police said.

Ford Road was partially open by 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, though the wreckage hadn’t been cleared from the turnaround.

No additional information has been revealed.
