SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Southfield Police Department is searching for a man who has been missing for two days and is believed to be armed and suicidal.
Derrick Perez, 33, was last seen on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, and is believed to be voluntarily missing. Police said he has short, black hair, brown eyes, is 6′2′' and weighs 220 pounds.
Police said he recently made suicidal statements and is believed to be armed. He may be driving to Ohio in a black Ford Fusion with Michigan License Plate No. 1MXU23.
Ohio police have been alerted.
Anyone who sees Perez is being asked not to approach him and to call 911.
