Boston – Gosder Cherilus, a first-round pick for the Lions in 2008, was arrested on a flight from Boston Logan International Airport for allegedly urinating on another passenger.

The Delta flight was headed to Dublin over the weekend. About an hour into the flight, the plane had to go back to Logan Airport.

Officers ordered Cherilus to leave the plane, but according to police, he became uncooperative. He was then arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and disturbing a flight crew.

The police report says he appeared drunk when boarding the plane, and allegedly urinated on an elderly passenger.

The woman, Connee Bush, says she had no idea who the former NFL player was until Monday when he appeared in court, where he pleaded not guilty.

In a statement to NBC10 Boston, Delta Airlines said, “Delta has a zero-tolerance policy for unlawful behavior and will cooperate with law enforcement to that end,”

Cherilus did not take any questions after the hearing, but on a post on “X”, stated that he “took a sleeping medication that I don’t normally use, which resulted in behavior that is not representative of my character,” He then went on to apologize to passengers and crew.

He is expected back in court Oct. 11th.
