Detroit resident Joshua Charston Brown-Hill, 25, was charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in the first degree of a 12-year-old girl in West Bloomfield.
The charges stem from a series of incidents that occurred between June 1 and Aug. 15.

Officials said an officer on routine patrol encountered Brown-Hill and the 12-year-old girl in a vehicle outside a former elementary school site in West Bloomfield Township on Aug. 15, where he was aware of the girl’s age.
The 25-year-old man was charged on Aug. 16, and his bond was set at $3 million, with no 10%.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. and a preliminary examination is scheduled for Sept. 5 at 10 a.m.
Brown-Hill remains in the Oakland County Jail, and officials say first-degree criminal sexual conduct is a felony punishable by life imprisonment or any term of years, with a mandatory minimum of 25 years imprisonment and lifetime electronic monitoring.
“I commend the diligence of the West Bloomfield officer who saw and intervened in this crime,” said Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald. “Those who target children will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
