Man claims Buc-ee’s beaver mascot is responsible for his fall, files lawsuit

Claims he sustained injuries and financial damage

Florence County, SC – A man tripped over a rope that held down the Buc-ee’s beaver mascot in South Carolina and is now suing the company for his injuries that resulted from the fall, according to a report from WBTW.

The lawsuit claims the man, Richard E. Brown, was walking on the sidewalk at the Florence County store when he “tripped over a rope that was running from the base of the Buc-ee’s inflatable beaver mascot to the anchor point.”

The complaint says he sustained multiple injuries, particularly to his right shoulder.

Brown is suing the company for negligence and financial damages.

Buc-ee’s has not yet commented on the suit.
