Police warn of unknown man who solicited child at a Taylor park

TAYLOR, Mich. – Police in Taylor are warning residents of a suspicious man who reportedly solicited a child at Boardman Park.

According to authorities, the incident happened in mid-August by the pavilion near the intersection of Haskell and Burr streets. Police said the man allegedly asked the child to expose their genitals to him and he would expose his in return.

The child ran away and is safe.

Police describe the man as being between 50 and 65 years old, standing about 5 feet, 8 inches, having a heavyset build and short hair. He was wearing glasses and was riding a bicycle in the area.

The Taylor Police Department has been patrolling the park, but the man has not been identified.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Taylor Police Department at 743-287-6611.
