Dee Warner’s family to speak after remains were identified on husband’s property

Family expected to speak at 2 p.m.

LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. – We are getting closer to hearing from the family of Dee Warner, just a day after her body was identified as the remains found in an anhydrous tank on her husband, Dale Warner’s property.

Update: ‘Bittersweet’: Family of Dee Warner speaks for 1st time after officials identify her body

Hopefully, this is the closure the family has been looking for that will mark the end of a long difficult journey. Here’s a timeline of the events.

Dee went missing back on April 25th of 2021. Family members had their suspicions Dale may have been responsible considering the two had what some would call a toxic relationship.

Michigan state police took over the case on August 9th 2023, previously – it had been handled by the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office.

On November 21, 2023, Dale was arrested and charged with her murder and tampering with evidence. At that point, no body was ever found.

Fast forward several months, and Dee’s body was found inside of the 18-inch steel cylinder tank on August 18th, 2024.

We are hoping to find out why it took investigators so long to look at the tanks, even though family members say they had been pressuring investigators to do so for months.
