Too Early? Starbucks’ menu changes to fall

Pumpkin spice fans are in a frenzy

Summer is winding down, but a signal of fall has arrived.

Aug. 22 marks the first day Starbucks’ customers can get their hands on fall flavored treats and drinks.

The company announced this week its beloved pumpkin spice latte (PSL) was returning to its stores nationwide today. That’s earlier than ever and two days earlier than in 2023.

The pumpkin spice latte celebrated its 20th anniversary last fall. Since its launch, the drink has been both beloved and mocked as it ushered in an era of pumpkin spice products.

If you’re looking for a drink, the pumpkin cream cold brew and iced pumpkin cream chai are returning to the menu. If you’re not up for pumpkin flavors, the chain has multiple apple drinks like the NEW iced apple crisp nondairy cream chai, the apple crisp oatmilk macchiato and the iced apple crisp oatmilk shaken espresso.

If you’re looking for a treat from the bakery, the pumpkin cream cheese muffin and baked apple croissant are back. The NEW raccoon cake pop is added to the menu as well.

For the record, fall doesn’t begin until Sept. 22, a full month away. So, if you have a PSL run planned, think about this. Is it too early? Depends on who you ask.
