MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – A 19-year-old from Saginaw was killed in a motorcycle crash in Oakland County.
The crash happened at about 9:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, on I-75, near 14 Mile Road. It closed the northbound lanes for several hours.

According to authorities, two speeding motorcycles were weaving through traffic before crashing into a Chevrolet Silverado in the center lane. Both motorcyclists were ejected and landed on the right shoulder.
One motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man from Saginaw, died at the scene. The other, a 20-year-old from Swartz Creek, was rushed to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
The freeway has since reopened.
