53-year-old man killed in Macomb County motorcycle crash

Police believe man lost control of motorcycle

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A man was killed in a Macomb County motorcycle crash.

Police said Chesterfield Township officers received reports of a motorcycle crash at 12:53 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, from the area of Gratiot Avenue and Terra Industrial Drive.

The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as a 53-year-old man. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the initial investigation indicates that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. Investigators believe the driver, who was wearing a helmet, was driving southbound on Gratiot Avenue when he lost control of his motorcycle.
