Here’s the 2024 fall weather outlook for Michigan

After a brief break from some of the summer like temperatures over the past few weeks, enjoy the chilly temperatures because a warm up is on the way, looking ahead of the next week, and looking ahead over the next few months.

The Climate Prediction Center has issued its monthly temperature outlook for the month of September, and it’s one-to-three-month temperature outlook across the entire United States, taking us through November, and no surprise -- we’re expecting the trend of warmer than average temperatures to continue.

Dad accused of leaving 3 kids alone at Cedar Point while he rode coasters

An Ohio dad admitted to Sandusky police that he left his three kids alone at Cedar Point so he could ride roller coasters. And it may have happened more than once.

Sandusky police were called to the amusement park Friday, August 16 after a woman found a small child playing near the Magnum XL-200 roller coaster. On their way to the Corkscrew, police said the woman found another small child left alone in a wagon. She tells the police she waited 20 minutes before the dad showed up.

Detroit Lions season ticket holders discover their tickets have vanished due to elaborate scheme

Some Detroit Lions season ticket holders have been sidelined after discovering that their tickets have vanished due to a new and elaborate scheme.

William Wright, a dedicated Lions season ticket holder for 34 years, was shocked to find his tickets missing this year.

He said he paid for them, but scammers now have them and are working to cash in.

How Meijer lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in a coupon scheme

Meijer lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in a counterfeit coupon scheme, and eight people are facing charges.

The scheme goes back to at least 2018, and police say at least $805,000 was stolen from the store chain in counterfeit coupon barcodes from several people.

Nine people were named in court documents as being part of the criminal enterprise. Eight of the nine had criminal cases filed against them: Elizabeth Tejada, Sara Tejada, Efrain Tejada, Thomas Ragen, Kristin Ragen, Travis Gale, Travis Plotts, and Christine Day.
