According to Talker Research, “America’s Got Talent” gets the golden buzzer from Americans. The show was crowned America’s favorite reality TV show.

Talker Research surveyed 2,000 reality TV fans, ages 21+, across several generations. The results are in. The U.S. is obsessed with talent.

Top 3 best reality shows:

  • America’s Got Talent – 42%
  • American Idol – 33%
  • Family Feud – 31%

Further data shows the average American watches reality TV 4 days per week. That totals an average of 10 hours of reality TV viewing each week.

The survey also breaks down which generation watches the most shows. The top reality show for Gen Z is “Impractical Jokers” while baby boomers go for “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.”

The survey revealed 39% of female respondents have watch parties with essentials like soda, chips and dip, finger foods and wine.

Binge-watching while drinking wine?

Americans do it. In fact, more than 52% have a glass while watching reality shows. Which bottle do you go for? Maybe one of these?

Top three wines American’s are sipping on:

  • Moscato – 28%
  • Rose – 18%
  • Chardonnay – 13%
  • Cabernet Sauvignon – 9%
  • Pinot Noir & bubbles – 7%

8 in 10 wine-drinking reality TV show viewers believe that sipping on a glass only makes them enjoy watching more.
