DETROIT – DTE Energy offered an update Wednesday afternoon on the power restoration timeline for thousands of outages around Metro Detroit.
As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, 161,000 customers remain without power in Southeast Michigan.
DTE officials said they expect that 90% of customers will have their power restored by the end of the day Thursday.
There are currently 1,200 outside line workers and thousands of DTE employees in the field to address outages, the company said.
DTE reminded everyone to stay at least 25 feet away from downed wires and everything they touch.
