CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Macomb County man is facing felony charges for taking sexually explicit pictures of a 7-year-old child, officials said.
Officers were called at 6:12 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, to a home in Chesterfield Township.
They said they learned that Shane Michael-Frank Werner, 26, of Chesterfield Township, had taken sexually explicit photos of a 7-year-old child.
Police went to Werner’s nearby home and took him into custody without further incident, they said.
He’s charged with aggravated child sexually abusive activity, aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and accosting children for immoral purposes.
Werner was arraigned Wednesday at 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore and received a $100,000 bond.
He’s being held at the Macomb County Jail.
