64-year-old woman killed in Sterling Heights head-on crash

Drivers are urged to find a different route

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – A four-vehicle crash in Sterling Heights killed a 64-year-old woman on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

It happened at about 3 p.m. on Schoenherr Road, just north of 15 Mile Road. Police said a southbound driver crossed over into the northbound lanes and struck a vehicle driven by a 64-year-old woman from Sterling Heights.

The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Schoenherr Road remains closed as the investigation is ongoing. Police said it’s unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role.

Drivers are urged to find a different route.
