Ford Piquette Avenue Plant Museum celebrates anniversary of first Model T production in Detroit

Event will feature numerous free attractions for attendees

DETROIT – The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant Museum celebrates the day in 1908 when the first Model T was produced in Detroit.

The birthday party will be held on Sunday (Sept. 29) in the 461 block of Piquette Avenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors who attend can enjoy free Model T rides, vintage vehicles on display, live music, food and beverages for save, unique vendors, and fun and games for the kids.

There is no cost for the outdoor activities or amenities in the Piquette Assembly Room.

The line for the Model T rides will form near the historic front entrance and will be first-come, first-served until 3 p.m.

There will be free birthday cake served at 12 p.m. while supplies last.

Admission prices are $10 to $18 for museum entry and guided tours.
