Green Day rushed off stage during Comerica Park concert in Detroit

Concert resumed after seven minute delay

DETROIT – American rock band Green Day was rushed off the stage during their Comerica Park concert in Detroit.

According to concertgoers, the band was about 15 minutes into their set on Wednesday (Sept. 4) when they suddenly stopped performing and ran off the stage while playing their hit album, “Dookie.”

Concertgoers said it could have been a drone hovering over the baseball field, which caused the show to pause.

But after a short delay, Green Day hopped back on stage and resumed their show after about seven minutes.

The Detroit Police Department says an individual flew a drone into Comerica Park, causing the rock band to be removed from the stage.

DPD says the individual was outside the event and is currently detained for further investigation.
