Police situation taking place at home on Detroit’s east side

DETROIT – A police presence is taking place at a home on Detroit’s east side.

Officials arrived at St. Patrick Street right next to the Coleman A. Young International Airport on Friday (Sept. 6).

Local 4 has seen detectives talking to a family, and moments ago, Detroit police Chief James White arrived on the scene and went into the home.

We are expecting him to speak to us shortly about what occurred at the residence, but as of right now, nothing is confirmed.

Update: 3-year-old boy accidentally shoots himself in face with mother’s gun on Detroit’s east side
