DETROIT – Police are asking for the public’s help in an armed robbery on Detroit’s east side.
It happened Aug. 24 outside a party store on Warren Avenue, near Guilford Street. According to authorities, an armed man approached a 29-year-old victim in the parking lot and took his jewelry and wallet, which contained money and other cards.

Police said the suspect drove off in a red Chevrolet Equinox that had a moon roof and luggage rails.
The victim was not injured.
