Police catch woman in Oakland County parking lot after armed robberies at 3 stores

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. – Police caught a woman in an Oakland County parking lot after armed robberies at three different stores.

West Bloomfield Township officials got a call around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, from a worker at the Twin Beach Market on Green Lake Road.

The caller said a woman had walked into the store with a pistol and robbed him of cash. She left before anyone could call 911.

A short time later, police received calls about two additional armed robberies in Orchard Lake and West Bloomfield.

One of those calls came from the CVS pharmacy at 6070 West Maple Road. A witness told authorities that at least two gunshots had been fired by the woman.

West Bloomfield officers caught the woman in the parking lot of the CVS and took her into custody.

They believe she acted alone and there is no further danger to the public.

No injuries have been reported.
