According to authorities, police received a 911 call just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, from a worker at the Twin Beach Market on Green Lake Road. The caller said a woman had walked into the store with a pistol and robbed him of cash. She left before anyone could call 911.

A short time later, police received calls about two additional armed robberies in Orchard Lake and West Bloomfield.

One of those calls came from the CVS pharmacy at 6070 West Maple Road. A witness told authorities that at least two gunshots had been fired by the woman.

West Bloomfield officers caught the woman in the parking lot of the CVS and took her into custody.

Kathryn Omalley Malczynski was charged with seven counts of armed robbery, eight counts of felony firearm, one count of discharging a weapon in a building and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.

Malczynski was given a $75,000 bond and remains charged at the Oakland County Jail.
