Oakland County students face charges for violent school threats

SOUTH LYON, Mich. – Three students from South Lyon East High School have been charged after threats were made toward the school.

The charges stem from three separate posts on social media that stated they were planning to shoot up or blow up the school. The posts were made Sunday, Sept. 8, and were reported to a teacher the next day.

The three were charged Wednesday, Sept. 11. Two students were charged with false report of threats of terrorism and the other was charged with intentional threats to commit act of violence against school, school employee or students.
