When deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, they found two people from the motorcycle involved in the crash, a 60-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman from China Township, with serious injuries. Both were taken to McLaren Macomb, where the 60-year-old man later died.

The driver of the car involved in the crash, a 19-year-old from Cottrellville Township, received minor injuries and was also transported to McLaren Macomb.

According to the sheriff’s office, the driver of the car attempted to turn left from Marsh Road onto Marine City Highway and was struck by the motorcycle.

Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor, said the sheriff’s office.
