Michigan state trooper injured, at-fault driver dies in crash on I-75 near Dix

LINCOLN PARK – A crash involving a Michigan State Police trooper closed a stretch of northbound I-75 Friday morning.

The crash happened in the area of I-75 near Dix at about 8:40 a.m. on Sept. 13.

According to Michigan State Police, a Motor Carrier Officer was out on a traffic stop when their car was struck by another vehicle. The officer was sent to the hospital—the extent of their injuries is unclear.

Police said the person in the car that caused the crash died from her injuries.
