DETROIT – An Oakland County man was arrested after one person was killed and another was injured in a shooting at Eastern Market.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, at Shed 6 in Eastern Market.
Police said two men put their hands up to fight when one of them pulled out a gun and started firing shots.
Two people were struck by gunfire. A Detroit man in his 40s was killed, and a Detroit man in his 20s was injured, according to Detroit police Chief James White.
Officials said the suspected shooter is a man from Oak Park. He was taken into custody.
Two guns were recovered by police.
Officers in the area were doing traffic control when they heard the shots and went to the scene, White said.
The investigation continues.
