Hidden camera found in Livingston church bathroom

BRIGHTON, Mich. – A worship pastor director was fired after a camera was found inside a bathroom at a Livingston County church.

The camera was found Friday, Sept. 13, in a non-public bathroom located backstage at the 2|42 Community Church, located off Grand River Avenue in Brighton.

Officials said the church’s worship pastor director confessed to placing the camera and was fired.

His name is being withheld as he has not been charged with a crime.

The church said the incident is under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

“We are shocked and deeply saddened by this situation, as the protection, safety and privacy of every person who enters our church is our priority. 2|42 Community Church is cooperating fully with the sheriff’s office investigation and is taking proactive steps, including engaging with a third party investigator, to ensure the safety of all our facilities”
