Carlos Emanuel Hernandez-Acosta, 37, of Detroit, was charged with firing multiple shots during a road rage incident, hitting the driver in Roseville.
The alleged incident occurred on Friday (Aug. 30) when Hernandez-Acosta was driving on I-94 when he shot at another vehicle.

Officials say the 37-year-old continued to follow the other vehicle and fired multiple rounds at the vehicle in the area of 11 Mile and Hayes roads.
Hernandez-Acosta allegedly shot the other driver, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said that the 37-year-old switched vehicles after the road rage shooting and drove to work.
Hernandez-Acosta was charged with assault with intent to murder, an up-to-life felony, malicious destruction of personal property of $1,000 but less than $20,000, a five-year felony, tampering with evidence, a four-year felony, two counts of felony firearm, two-year mandatory felonies, reckless driving, a 93-day misdemeanor, and reckless use of a firearm, a 90-day misdemeanor.
The Detroit resident was charged in 39th Roseville District Court where bond was set at $80,000 cash/surety, no 10%.
If released, Hernandez-Acosta will wear a GPS tether, surrender his passport, and be prohibited from leaving the state of Michigan.
A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom, and the preliminary exam is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.
