Michigan deputies help deliver baby

ROSCOMMON COUNTY, Mich. – Two Michigan officers were credited with helping deliver a baby on Thursday.

At around 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 12, a man from Houghton Lake went to the Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office asking for help with his significant other who was in active labor.

Multiple sheriff personnel and other agencies in the area went out to help with the delivery until the ambulance arrived.

The sheriff’s office credited Deputy Martin and Corporal Grace for helping with the delivery.

Luca Jameson Meir was born at 9:43 a.m., eight pounds and 21 inches long.

“Congratulations to the family,” wrote the Roscommon County Sheriff on Facebook. “Thank you to Higgins Township Fire & EMS and Denton Township Police Department for the assistance.”
