5 hospitalized in car crash involving motorcycle on Detroit’s west side
Five people have been hospitalized in a car crash involving a motorcycle on Detroit’s west side.
The crash occurred Monday evening on Schoolcraft Road near Evergreen Road.
Police said three people were inside the car, and two people were riding the motorcycle.
Friends, family gather in Eastern Market to honor victim in deadly tailgate shooting
Family and friends of Rayshawn Bryant gathered by the hundreds to honor and celebrate his life.
The shooting occurred on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, when Bryant was killed in a shooting at Eastern Market.
“We’re managing the best way we can,” said younger brother, David Bryant. “I mean, we lost a pillar in our family.”
David described his brother as a fun person who loved to dance and wasn’t violent.
Detroit crash involving speeding car, drunk driver kills 2
A crash on Detroit’s east side late Sunday, Sept. 15, killed two teenagers and hospitalized a third with critical injuries.
Police said the crash involved a speeding Dodge Charger that had three teenagers inside and a BMW with a drunk driver. According to authorities, the speeding Charger was driving northbound on Gratiot Avenue when they struck a BMW that was turning left from the southbound lanes near Harper Avenue. The crash caused the Dodge to leave the roadway, strike two parked cars and hit a party store before coming to a stop.
