Police said all victims were known to Logan Sutherland, a 21-year-old from Waterford. He was arrested and charged in August with four counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of possession of child sexually abusive material. Authorities confirmed Tuesday, Sept. 17, he was charged with an additional count of child sexually abusive material and one count of child sexually abusive activity.
He remains lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
Police said they were investigating a criminal sexual conduct complaint involving a 10-year-old boy who Sutherland had spent times with dozens of times that led to the seizure of his cellphone. Authorities said the phone contained images and videos of naked young boys. Since the arrest, police said they’ve learned of more victims and believe there could be more.
Police said the four victims were assaulted at Sutherland’s Waterford Township home, ZapZone, Sportway, and SkyZone in Commerce Township.
While the known victims -- ages seven, 10, 11, and 13 -- all knew Sutherland, police said his phone contained multiple unidentified young boys.
Anyone who has had children who may have been with Sutherland or knows of children he spent time with is urged to contact the Waterford Police Department at 248-618-6122.
