Two men were killed after a shooting at Eastern Market on Sunday. Eastern Market, in response, canceled the upcoming tailgating event.
Rayshawn Bryant, 40, and Jalen Welch, 25, were shot on Sept. 15 at around 4:30 p.m. at Shed 6 after the Detroit Lions game.
Officials said Welch and the suspect, an Oak Park man, got into an argument when the 25-year-old was shot. Welch died from his injuries on Monday.

The guided tour announcement comes after the station saw 167,000 visitors using the free self-guided tours of the revitalized building since it reopened in June. In partnership with Detroit History Tours, experts will talk about the building’s restoration and guide visitors through the station’s ground floor, including areas not accessible to the general public.
Student brings loaded handgun to Oakland County high school -- What we know
A 15-year-old boy was arrested after reportedly bringing a loaded handgun into a Southfield high school.
The boy was taken into custody Monday, Sept. 16, after a reported struggle with the school’s resource officers.
Southfield High School for the Arts and Technology immediately went into lockdown after police received a tip regarding a student with a handgun. According to authorities, school resource officers found the student inside a bathroom and after a brief confrontation, officers removed a Smith and Wesson 40-caliber handgun from the student’s waistband.
