Police search for man involved in home invasion on Detroit’s east side

No one was home during the invasion

DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is seeking help identifying a man involved in a home invasion on the city’s east side.

The incident occurred on Friday (Sept. 13) at 9:10 p.m. in the 3600 block of Rivard Street.

The man broke into the apartment through the patio door and stole a safe containing money, jewelry, and several designer purses before fleeing the scene.

He was last seen wearing a dark skull cap, facemask, blue and gray hooded sweatshirt, dark gloves, and black sweatpants with a white “Nike” logo.

Officials say no one was home at the time of the incident.
