Officials say Lequan Denelle Brown, 47, of Detroit, was charged with an alleged road rage shooting and stabbing of his co-worker in Macomb County.
The alleged incident occurred on Friday (Sept. 13) when Brown and his co-worker were leaving work in separate vehicles while driving near the area of Van Dyke Avenue and I-696.

Court documents say Brown shot at the victim’s vehicle multiple times. Later that same day, both men returned to work, and Brown attacked the man with a knife.
The co-worker sustained severe lacerations but is stable and has been released from the hospital.
Brown was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, up-to-life felonies, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a five-year felony, felony firearm, and a two-year mandatory felony. He is charged as a habitual third offender.
On Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, Brown was arraigned in 37th Warren District Court, where bond was set at $500,000 cash/surety.
If released, he must wear a GPS tether and have no contact with any witnesses. Brown was also referred for a mental health evaluation.
A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at 8:45 a.m., and a preliminary exam is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024.
