You must act fast, only the first 5,000 received entries will be considered between Sept. 24 to Nov. 1, 2024, so the sooner users submit the better.

Ring users can submit their videos at www.ring.com/ghostsearch between Sept. 24 at 12:00 a.m. P.T. to Nov. 1 at 11:59 p.m. P.T. Only the first 5,000 submissions will be considered, according to Ring. You must also submit a 100-word story explaining what is being depicted in the video.

So, who are you going to call if you see something? Probably not Ghostbusters. They’ll be busy finding a winner.

According to Ring, the panel judges include “Ghostbusters” actor Finn Wolfhard and Paranormal Investigator Katrina Weidman. Entries will be judged on the visibility and clarity of the ghost as well as uniqueness, entertainment value and engagement.

“Ring is known to catch all kinds of activity – but I know if I saw a ghost on my Ring camera, I’d want to move out as fast as possible,” Wolfhard said in a press release. “This Halloween season, I’m relying on my Ring camera to alert me of any activity happening in and around my house – even if it’s the spooky or paranormal.”

Ring put together some research on how to spot a ghost. It says to lookout for mysterious shadows or light anomalies, objects moving on their own, unexplained sounds like whispers, electrical issues or electronic disturbances, and unusual pet behavior.
