‘Waste to Wonder’ exhibit displays artwork created through food waste

Exhibit raising awareness to environment, food waste

DETROIT – It’s Detroit Month of Design, and artists from across the Metro are showing off their creativity, innovation and ingenuity.

There are many different exhibits and events raising awareness for various causes. One of those includes the environment and food waste.

Artist Amanda Koss said she creates artwork through food waste to create pigments with the resources she finds or is given. Various artists’ work, including Koss’, will be at the Waste to Wonder exhibit on Sept. 24.

The exhibit will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Newlab in Detroit.
