Wyandotte police arrest suspects involved in high-speed chase spanning 3 cities

Officials say they found crystal meth, heroin and crack cocaine

WYANDOTTE, Mich. – Police said the vehicle was stolen, and the duo possessed a supply of crack cocaine, crystal meth, and heroin.

The pursuit occurred on Friday (Sept. 13) at 7:37 p.m. after officer Alex Stathakis attempted to stop the speeding vehicle driven by the two criminals, who officials say have a long history of victimizing society on Alkali Street near 2nd Street.

The chase stretched across three cities before stopping on Macomb Street near Greektown.

Officials say the driver was a wanted fugitive who had six active warrants, and the passenger (A parole absconder) had been unsuccessfully released from prison for armed robbery.

Police said the vehicle was stolen, and the duo possessed a supply of crack cocaine, crystal meth and heroin.

Officials say the duo locked themselves in the vehicle, causing the officers to smash out the window to allow themselves inside.

Officers Stathakis and Cox’s relentless effort ensured the criminal duo would not have an opportunity to victimize anyone else in the community in the near future.
