Port Huron police capture 3 who crossed St. Clair River from Canada

None of the men were US citizens

PORT HURON, Mich. – Police in Port Huron arrested three men who snuck into the country from Canada on Monday, Sept. 23.

According to authorities, police received tips from the United States Coast Guard about three men crossing the St. Clair River from Canada. Police said the three abandoned their raft near the mouth of the Black River.

Officers reportedly saw the men carrying duffel bags and running down Michigan Street, near Grand River Avenue.

All three men were taken into custody and turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol for illegal entry into the United States.
