HOWELL, Mich. – A 12-year-old boy is hospitalized after a 20-foot tall dead tree trunk fell on him in Howell.
The incident occurred on Thursday (Sept. 26) at 3:30 p.m. at the Howell Nature Center.
Officials say the area was remote in the back of the park.
The 12-year-old boy was transported on the ground to the Parker Middle School, where a survival flight helicopter flew him to Motts Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.
He has been listed in critical condition.
