The university said the funds will be used to preserve, enrich and enhance a collection of over 800 art pieces by Arthur Secunda. The university holds the largest collection of Secunda’s artwork in the museum.

Secunda requested near the end of his life that his art be preserved, explored and enjoyed by everyone. Through the grant funds, Cleary University aims to secure the preservation of over 800 pieces of art while also cataloging, digitizing, restoring, framing and reframing his work to protect them.

The university said the funds will also be used to hire an art curator and partner with local museums and institutions for long-term preservation of the artwork.
