WEBBERVILLE, Mich. – Karen Drew and Demond Fernandez squared off Thursday in a race to get through a specially designed corn maze in Michigan.
The corn maze at Choice Farm Market in Webberville is designed in the likeness of Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell, with a lion’s mane and “One Pride” and “Go Lions!” below.
Karen and Demond will try to get through the maze separately around 5 p.m. Thursday -- just a few days before it opens to the public this weekend.
There are 10 different checkpoints inside the maze to help people orient themselves. They’ll also come across Lions trivia questions.
The maze is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through the end of October. It costs $14.99 per person, but you get $2 off if you’re a Lions season ticket holder.
There are other activities at the farm, too: a petting zoo, slides, and more.
The corn maze was brought to life by a company in Missouri after the owners sent them the design idea. The company programs GPS coordinates based on a drawing and cuts the corn in mid-July.
