What we know: Footage shows suspect shooting at police, nearby homes during standoff in Oakland County

Bodycam footage was released Wednesday of the standoff at a Farmington Hills home where a man allegedly shot at police and hit multiple homes in the neighborhood.

The situation unfolded when Farmington Hills police responded to a domestic violence assault at a home in the area of Middlebelt and 12 Mile roads on Sept. 15.

It’s alleged the suspect, 32-year-old Dejuan Patrick Evans, assaulted a woman and threatened her life in front of her children. The victim’s child called 911.

Why did the doctor’s office raided in Taylor have a full bedroom? Police question that, too

The doctor’s office that was raided Tuesday in Taylor because of the Oakland County man’s alleged link to drugs had a full bedroom inside, and police want to know why.

A 78-year-old man from Bloomfield Hills was taken into custody late Tuesday morning during a raid at his clinic on Telegraph Road in Taylor.

“I’m shocked,” the doctor said as he was escorted to a police car. “I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Taylor police believe the doctor is one of the worst offenders of pill trafficking in Michigan. He’s accused of falsifying records, writing fake prescriptions, and flooding the streets with opioids and painkillers.

The Detroit Lions will debut their all-black uniforms with blue helmets on Monday Night Football when they play host to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Lions took to X on Wednesday (Sept. 25) to alert fans of their new profile picture to officially make the announcement.

Weather: Baseball weather: Warmest day of the week

A cloudy and seasonal start, but clouds will give way to sunshine Thursday, so don’t forget your sunglasses! Starting on Sept. 26, we will see more darkness than daylight and will continue to loose daylight time until the Winter Solstice on Dec. 21.

Great baseball weather Thursday for fans heading out to the day game at Comerica Park. This is the warmest day of the week under mostly sunny skies with daytime highs in the mid to upper 70s. Attention shifts to Hurricane Helene which is expected to make landfall in the big bend of Florida later Thursday as a major hurricane. Southeast Michigan could potentially see some of the remnant moisture from this system over the upcoming weekend, but nothing prominent.
