The charges stem from a Sept. 15, 2023, crash in Pontiac, near the intersection of East Huron Street and Woodward Avenue. Officials said Kellar was driving a pickup truck alongside the motorcycle before she turned into it.

Kirt Keenan Stalker, a resident of White Lake, was declared dead at the scene. Police said he was wearing a helmet.

Kellar and her 15-year-old passenger were not injured.

Police said Kellar’s blood alcohol level at the time of the crash was 0.10%. Under Michigan law, a driver is considered intoxicated at 0.08% and above.

Kellar pleaded guilty on Aug. 6, 2024.

Judge Mary Ellen Brennan sentenced Kellar on Wednesday, Sept. 26, to 2.5 to 15 years behind bars.
