Is your Verizon phone not working? There’s a major outage right now

More than 100,000 outages reported Monday morning

Are you having trouble with your Verizon phone? You’re not alone. Thousands of users are reporting issues with the service across the country.

As of 11:24 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, more than 104,000 customers had reported issues with their Verizon service.

More than half of the people reporting issues on DownDetector.com said there are problems with their mobile phones. One-third are without a signal, and 14% are experiencing a total blackout.

The outage map shows concentrated reports of problems in New York, Atlanta, Central Florida, and many other locations, including Metro Detroit.

Verizon Support is responding to several individual users on X, saying, “We understand the importance of staying connected, and would be happy to take a look at what’s occurring.”

In a statement to NBC News, Verizon said, “We are aware of an issue impacting service for some customers. Our engineers are engaged, and we are working quickly to identify and solve the issue.”
