DETROIT – The Corner Ballpark in Corktown was awash in a sea of pink Saturday, Oct. 5, for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Detroit.
The annual walk brought out thousands of people raising money for research and building support for survivors.
The fight against breast cancer took over Corktown Saturday morning. Everyone who showed up had different reasons for donning pink.
The 27th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Detroit has become a tradition. More than 400 teams registered and 10,000 people laced up to walk.
Our Local 4 family member and breast cancer survivor Kim Adams came out to show her support.
For those who’ve lost loved ones to breast cancer, the Making Strides walk is especially meaningful.
