In all instances, the flyers were stored in plastic bags that contained other materials in order to weigh them down.

Farmington Hills Police Chief Jeff King said it could be connected to Monday marking one year since Hammas’ attack in Israel.

Canton Police Chief Chad Baugh said the department is taking it very seriously and are working to identify the people who could be responsible.

Homeowners are urged to check their surveillance camera systems and to contact police if they have any footage of the flyers being distributed.

“The safety and well-being of our community is paramount, and we will hold those responsible accountable within the laws of the State of Michigan,” Baugh said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Canton Township Public Safety Department at 734-394-5400.
