Multiple campsites across Michigan will see some closures for at least some of 2025 for renovations. Some are already closed, but are expected to reopen sometime in 2025.

The storm-ravaged Gulf Coast in Florida was expected to hit less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene struck. While forecast models vary widely, the most likely path suggests Milton could make landfall Wednesday in the Tampa Bay area and remain a hurricane as it moves across central Florida into the Atlantic Ocean.

Southfield firefighters save 2 dogs, 13 puppies from burning home

Two dogs and 13 puppies were rescued from a burning home late Saturday night.

Southfield firefighters responded to a house fire in the 27000 block of Spring Arbor Drive at around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 5. Officials said smoke could be seen coming out of the house.

What we know: Antisemitic flyers sparking concerns in Oakland County communities

Police in Oakland County are asking for help finding who put bags filled with antisemitic writing across several neighborhoods.

Police said the bags were found outside more than 100 homes in Farmington Hills. Three law enforcement agencies are working to track down the people responsible for spreading hate driveway-to-driveway.

West Bloomfield police are also investigating who put out another 100 of them in their neighborhoods. There are reports of the same thing happening in White Lake.

This week’s weather pattern will definitely bring the ingredients needed for more fall color change across the area. Grab the shades as you head out the door Monday and a sweater. Highs pressure brings us sunshine, but the air mass behind Sunday’s cold front will be noticeably cooler.

Morning clouds will quickly give way to mostly sunny skies. Not as windy as Sunday, but still breezy with gusts near 20 mph.
