Pontiac shooting leaves 2 dead

Police in Pontiac investigate an Oct. 8, 2024 shooting that killed two people. (WDIV)

PONTIAC, Mich. – Police in Pontiac are investigating a shooting that left two people dead Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The shooting happened just before 9:45 a.m. near the intersection of Fiddis Avenue and North Sanford Street. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.

The investigation is ongoing.
