ORLANDO – Hurricane Milton is on its way to making landfall in Florida’s west side.
Less than two weeks after the devastation of Hurricane Helene, Milton is heading toward Florida’s west coast at Category 4 strength as of Wednesday morning. Early on Oct. 9, Milton upgraded to a Category 5 but died down again to a Category 4 storm. Milton is still expected to bring possible catastrophic storm surges to the Sunshine State.
Milton is expected to make landfall late Wednesday into early Thursday.
